The location is very convenient with easy access to trams and it's close to the Spirit terminal. The staff provides excellent service and the basic amenities are well-maintained. The rooms with three single beds are a great option for groups traveling together.

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. the location was perfect - super close to public transport and conveniently close to everything I needed to do in the city over the weekend. Secondly, the staff were friendly and provided great service. Lastly, the room was spacious and had a big, beautifully renovated bathroom.

No major complaints, everything was ok.

It was close to where I wanted to be, easy to get in and out and the free wireless internet was a great bonus

The Location in South Melbourne is excellent. The quiet location with free parking was the best, especailly when Parking charges in many Citys is "RIDICULOUS"................including Melbourne . Close, walking distance, to some very nice Shopping Area is also a Bonus.

Mmmm.............did not meet any staff , on arrival, which was not really bad but would have niced to have had someone to say " Hello" and this is how things happen here.....................just a bit strange ? ...........other people staying there seemed to spend late nights " Banging and Crashing" around the common kitchen area, which also was close to our room.............and I suppose if no-one says anything to them, then these other tenants don't know that its a problem but they seem to be Long Term residents and looked like they were quite comfortable doing this !!...............mmmmm..............anyway, was very annoyed by nearly 11.00pm ;(

I had a great stay at Lily Sands Inn. The location was fantastic, just a short walk away from the Rising Sun Hotel and the Emerald Hotel, both known for their excellent service and top-quality meals. The South Melbourne market was also within walking distance. The rooms were clean and tidy, with comfortable beds and a peaceful atmosphere. I would definitely stay there again.

While there were some minor inconveniences during my stay, such as a lack of staff availability and having to purchase my own toilet paper, overall I found the staff to be friendly and helpful when I asked. The shower curtains could be longer to prevent water from splashing outside the bathroom.

It was very convenient and comforting. Nina the host was lovely. Would definitely stay there again!

The bathroom was a little too cramped but it didn't really bother us at the time as we only stayed for a night. My partner had woken a neighboring roomy with his snoring. This could've been avoided if the ventilator was covered.

We had a lovely weekend stay in a hotel that was conveniently located close to public transportation and a variety of restaurants. The hotel was situated beside a picturesque park and within easy walking distance of the shops and cafes of South Melbourne. The room was spacious, clean, and provided us with all of the necessary amenities we needed during our stay. We particularly enjoyed the communal kitchen and lobby area which offered a comfortable spot to relax anytime throughout the day. We would definitely stay here again.

The cleaners were quite noisy early in the morning and woke us up earlier than we wanted.

Hard lumpy bed, communication with guest house a bit tricky

I stayed as it said it had aircon...i arrived and there was no aircon. Also walked around for 30mion looking for the place as there is no signage. Could not sleep walls are paper thing and we had late check out, yet someone banging on our door at 9:30 who woke us up to say that they had booked that room and want to use it.

This hotel offers excellent value for money with its affordable prices. The attention to detail in the rooms is impressive, especially the spacious bathrooms that provide a comfortable and relaxing experience. The location is superb as it is very close to the Albert Park Aquatic Centre and conveniently connected to public transport, making it easy to explore the city and visit the South Melbourne Market.

Only one minor improvement needed.
